The Pony darning mushroom is a mushroom shaped tool usually made of wood used for darning. The torn sock heel / elbow tear is stretched over the curved top of the mushroom and gathered tightly around the stalk to hold in place for darning.

Very pleased

I was v happy to receive the darning mushroom. Although the size is small and not what I had anticipated from the picture it really is nicely made. Simple and elegant design that meets the purpose. A suggestion for further improvement that could be considered is having a hollow stem as an inbuilt container for housing darning needles.
